inside the mind of an 11-year old boy

children? what children? Add comments

The other day we were driving, the children and I, and we passed one of those gigantic net-fences. Have you seen them? They’re huge nets stretched along a line of the tallest telephone-pole sized posts I’ve ever seen.

Nathaniel: What’s that? Is it for a golf place?

Me: Either that or baseball.

Nathaniel: Baseball? What happens when the balls escape and start hitting cars?

Me: Uh. [I'm visualizing here. It's raining baseballs over the highway.]

Nathaniel: Which would cause more damage, a golf ball or a baseball?

    Now there’s a question for ya……….lol!

Thanks for your sweet note and your gift. I don’t know why it took us so long to discover each other’s blogs either!

    Golf ball.

The golf course where my car was hit had no netting in place :(

I went out and got three estimates, and the course management complained that they were way too high, and I was trying to rip them off. I told them I would be happy to get an estimate from the repair shop of their choice. The new estimate came in higher than the highest of my three. The course cut me a check for the lowest estimate, and no apologies were offered of any sort.

The course was sold to a developer last year, soon it will be just a bunch of condo’s.
