the perils of daylight saving time

This morning I made coffee, as usual.  I was up most of the night and I needed coffee.  Really, really needed it.  I boiled water in my electric kettle.  I ground my lovely light-roast beans and poured the ground coffee into my french press.  I poured some maple syrup into my cup to sweeten the eventual coffee I’d pour in there after it brewed.  The water was boiling, so I poured it.

Into the coffee cup with the maple syrup.

That coffee wasn’t nearly strong enough.

A variation on this happened to me this morning, too. Except I completely forgot to pour the coffee that smelled so great and I so could have used. I’ll be adding hot chocolate to the afternoon cup just to make up for it. Hope the rest of your day is going better!

I can hardly make coffee in my auto drip coffee maker in the mornings let alone consider doing it in a french press. Feelin for ya.
