I don't know if it came "from" 12 Step but it is popular in 12 Step and I will tell you: 12 Step has a lot of other great quotes that you can pull out of your pockets and remember when you need them. And I have needed them! ;-) And sometimes when I am going a little crazy I don't even remember to remember quotes like that - and that is too bad! Your realization about the liking/disliking reminds me of my realization that whether or not I am in conflict with a person, I am still in relationship with them. That was a reassuring eye-opener for me. Previous to that I thought that conflict meant end. Now I realize it's a different color in an eternal rainbow. I sure do like some colors better than others but they are all part of the same darn rainbow. Hope you feel your own goodness as you move through all this.
